Bay of Islands

Ok here we are in the Bay of Islands after nearly hitting a dark black cow last night along the country roads, the beast was standing in the middle of the road asleep methinks,(close!) anyway the bay of islands is a calm warm place with many islands and secluded small bays, the skies are most often clear! and the foliage is - well seemingly everywhere sub-tropical green expanses of native bush, I visited Russel, the nation's first capital!, a small beautiful relaxing town, with plenty of history if you linger and look a little deeper into this historic place. ok enough relaxing chaps next stop Cape Reinga where the two great oceans meet!
